Natural pain relief and relaxation: Acupressure mat and pillow sets are designed to stimulate specific points on the body, mirroring the principles of acupuncture and acupressure. The application of pressure can alleviate tension, reduce pain, and promote relaxation, providing an easy and natural method for managing stress, headaches, and muscle pain.
USER GUIDE
-
Find a comfortable space: Begin by finding a quiet and comfortable space where you can lay down your acupressure mat. This could be on a yoga mat, your bed, a couch, or even directly on the floor. Make sure the area is clean and has enough space for you to lie down comfortably.
-
Position yourself on the mat: Slowly and carefully lie down on the mat, starting with your lower back and working your way up to your shoulders and neck. Aim to distribute your weight evenly across the spikes. If lying down directly onto the mat feels too intense, consider wearing a thin layer of clothing for your first few sessions until your body gets used to the sensation.
-
Adjust for comfort: If the mat comes with an acupressure pillow, place it under your neck for additional support and acupressure benefits. You can also place a rolled-up towel under your neck if the mat doesn't come with a pillow. Remember to adjust your position until you find the most comfortable posture.
-
Relax and breathe: Once positioned, close your eyes and focus on your breath. Try to relax your muscles onto the spikes and breathe deeply and slowly. As you exhale, visualise your body releasing tension and stress. Aim to lie on the mat for at least 10-20 minutes to experience the benefits of acupressure.
-
Post-session care: After using the acupressure mat, rise slowly and avoid any abrupt movements that may strain your muscles. Drink plenty of water to help your body detoxify, as the acupressure process stimulates circulation and lymphatic flow. Store your mat and pillow in a clean, dry place until your next session.
